Protein -- great post.

by Denise H. Todd

Calculating the amount of protein you SHOULD eat is very important. Some people will calculate the number and say, "Wow, that's high." Others will say, "Wow, I don't eat nearly enough." So, with your calculations above, one can know what their body requires. I referenced this post in my non-commercial blog: www.energyfromfoodandpassion.com The July 7 post http://wp.me/pIKzT-n is about Energy Zappers and How to Zap 'em back. Enjoy.

Thanks,

Hey Denise -

Thanks for the kind words! It's just so so important to understand what YOU need, not what some "World's Strongest Man" needs. I once knew a guy in college who would eat nearly 13,000 calories/day and would carry around a jug of whole milk everywhere he went. Now if I set out to eat 13,000 calories, where would I be today? Probably at fat camp.

The idea is to cater your diet to YOU, not what someone else says you need. These are safe guidelines generated from years and years of medical research.

Thanks for the comment! :)
