do you mean per exercise, or sets per muscle group? And is "upper back" to be considered as 1 muscle group, for example?

Can you be more clear on this?

15-20 sets is meant to include the entire workout. For example, 3 sets inclined chest press, 3 sets lat pulldowns, etc, etc until you reach 15-20 sets (or however many you plan on doing).
